KWORQ IS A CLOSE-KNIT GROUP OF CREATIVE WEIRDOS AND IT’S ABOUT TIME WE INTRODUCE YOU TO OUR CREW. WELCOME TO OUR BLOG SERIES MEET THE TEAM (PART 1 OF 8). KICKING IT OFF IS SACHA PEET, OUR KILLER PROJECT MANAGER WHO LOVES DOGS BUT COULD LIVE WITHOUT SCARY MOVIES.

Sacha was born in SoCal. Before making her way to New York in 2016, she lived in Seattle for 12 years. She studied Sociology and Visual Art at the University of Washington. Her background is in fashion, doing event production and styling. Lately, she has been really into listening to classical music very loudly.

What is your role at Kworq? How long have you worked here?

Project Manager and part-time DJ.  9 months .

Where were you photographed? Why was that your choice?

The roof! Because I like the view.

Why did you want to work at Kworq?

I was drawn to Kworq specifically because of my interest in production and the fact that all our creative work is done in-house.  And I appreciate puns and dad jokes which are a-plenty here.

Why did you get into Advertising?

I got into advertising via my interest in fashion, which led me to event production.  I think immersive marketing experiences such as events are really interesting. I love seeing how environmental designers transform spaces, and then seeing how people interact with those spaces.

What is your favorite part about working in advertising?

Making cool things and experiences for people to have that make them feel some feelings.

What is your least favorite part about working in advertising?

I don’t feel good about promoting consumerism.  Then I remember when Future said, “First I got married to money, then I fell in love with that dirty”, and I think, yeah, something like that.

What’s your greatest inspiration for what you do (design, writing, etc.)

I have a lot of really great friends who are artists and designers who inspire me.  And I love going to art museums in every city that I visit.

What was the last thing you watched that you really liked? Why?

The last movie I saw was the disaster artist. I thought it was well made.  I’m also slowly enjoying the newest season of black mirror.

How do you keep the creative juices flowing outside of Kworq?

I like to draw and paint as much as possible when I’m not at work. Sometimes I like tattooing those drawings (usually on myself). I recently started an IG account for my artwork ~ shout out @peetmode (it’s a play on beast mode because I love Marshawn Lynch).
