Eurah Lee is a native Virginian but a nomad at heart. She has lived in Seoul, Shanghai, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, and now, New York! As a Project Manager/Producer hybrid at Kworq, Eurah is the bridge from client to crew and concept to completion. She’s a firm believer  in the 7 Ps of Production: Prior Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Production.

Cool fact: Eurah has hiked to the Annapurna Base Camp in the Himalayas of Nepal, the journey took 7 days (5 days up and 2 days down).

What is your role at Kworq? How long have you worked here?

I am the project manager at Kworq and I’ve been here since September 2019.

Where were you photographed? Why was that your choice?

Columbus Park in Chinatown. I chose this park because it reminds me of the year I lived in Shanghai. All the OGs come here to play chess, sing and dance, people watch, talk smack, and enjoy the nostalgia.

Why did you want to work at Kworq?

My goal was to work for a small agency that did big things. I also read through their MEET THE TEAM blogs and instantly felt a family vibe. I wanted to work with people who can bring their own unique stories to the table and Kworq-ers have just that.

What led you to get into the advertising industry?

I first started in broadcast news and thought it was too depressing, advertising is not.

What is your favorite part about working in advertising?

Collaborating with a great team on coming up with concepts for campaigns and seeing all the different ways an idea can be visually communicated. I get bored easily but in advertising and video you get to work with clients of all kinds. The learning never stops and eventually you know a little bit about a lot of different things, like ammonia refrigeration!

What is your least favorite part about working in advertising?

Sometimes you leave work with a headache.

What’s the hardest part about what you do?

My brain is constantly being pulled from project to project and co-worker to co-worker. Multi-tasking is a scary beast to tame so I make sure to write everything down and move in steps.

Where do you want to be in five years?

Kickin’ ass and takin’ names.

What’s your greatest inspiration for what you do?

My greatest inspiration comes from doing uncomfortable activities like going to a weird event, reading new books that look wack, and gaining new perspectives.

What was the last thing you watched that you really liked? Why?

In The Mood for Love by Wong Kar Wai. If you know, you know.

How do you keep the creative juices flowing outside of Kworq?

I like to practice yoga, fool around on my drum set, travel light, and take Mr. Loki for long walks to new places.
