Originally I’m from Ukraine but for the last 4 years, I’ve lived in LA. Now I can call it my second home; however, It is not the city where you want to work. I’ve moved to NYC because this city inspires me to improve myself every day. I speak 4 languages if you count sarcasm language. I believe that it is impossible to live without humor.
What is your role at Kworq? How long have you worked here?
I am a graphic designer and I have been working here for 5 months.
Where were you photographed? Why was that your choice?
I was photographed at the Soho streets. I love walking around the city and taking photos of street arts and murals. Art is all around us.
Why did you want to work at Kworq?
From the first time when I opened Kworq’s website I knew I want to work in this agency. It’s totally my style. After the conversation with Guy no doubts left that together we can create something cool. It wouldn’t be boring to work on this team.
What led you to get into the advertising industry?
Advertising combines my two favorite things – psychology and art. Each advertisement is a masterpiece, which is based on a deep analysis of human behavior.
What is your favorite part about working in advertising?
My favorite part is working with different brands, audiences. Every time you create something new for different target audiences. You should think like them and try to get into their heads.
What is your least favorite part about working in advertising?
Working with clients who limit your creativity. Sometimes working inside the frames can be even more interesting, but if clients do not believe in your vision nothing will work.
What’s the hardest part about what you do?
Not to lose a passion and inspiration to design. A muse can not stay with you forever. And I’m afraid that once design will start to be routine, instead of the creative process.
Where do you want to be in five years?
Wow, I’ve just moved to NYC, who knows where I’m gonna be in 5 years. But for sure I’ll be happy. My plan is to become a creative director in a small advertising agency and also open a tattoo shop.
What’s your greatest inspiration for what you do?
The greatest inspiration is traveling. New cultures, architecture, cuisine, people, street art – everything. If I do not go to a new city I just walk on the streets, listen to music and observe.
What was the last thing you watched that you really liked? Why?
It is a difficult question. I can’t work without listening to some documentaries or tv shows. The last movie that I really liked was Joker. I don’t like superhero films but this one is more a psychological drama.
How do you keep the creative juices flowing outside of Kworq?
Boxing and tattoos – two things that recharge me. I have a lot of energy and boxing helps me not to explode. + Recently I became a tattoo artist so I try to practice when I have some free time.
